Here at All Saints, we kicked off our Easter Triduum on Maundy Thursday with the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. This mass is quite unlike our usual Thursday evening Masses. At this Mass, Fr. Dominic and Fr. Lopez humbly washed the feet of 12 parishioners. After, Adoration was held until Midnight in the Parish Hall. See our photo album for more pictures.
Though there was no Mass celebrated on Good Friday, we offered a number of services including a Meditation on Christ’s Seven Last Words, Stations of the Cross, and the Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion. Check out our album to see pictures from Stations of the Cross, and the Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion.
On Saturday night, we began the Easter Vigil outside around the Easter fire that lit the Paschal candle. As we entered the worship space, the only light to guide us was the flicker of flames from our own candles. Several scripture passages were read to help us meditate and reflect on God’s works since the beginning of time. Finally, our Candidates and Catechumens, who have come so far on their discernment journey, were fully received into the Catholic Faith. We welcomed 17 new parishioners! What a beautiful way to start the Easter season. See our photo album for more pictures.
